FAA Alternative Jet Fuels and Environment Center of Excellence
Washington State University requests $750,000 in the 2014 supplemental operating budget – $500,000 of which would be ongoing annual funding – for requisite matching funds to support the university’s recent designation as the FAA Center of Excellence for Alternative Jet Fuels and Environment.
Enrollment at the University Center of North Puget Sound
WSU seeks $1 million per year in the 2014 supplemental operating budget to bring high demand programs to the University Center of North Puget Sound with instruction beginning in January, 2015.
Maintenance and Operations for New Facilities
WSU requests $3.6 million in the 2014 supplemental operating budget – $1.9 million of which is ongoing annually – to fully fund maintenance and operations of three new university buildings which were partially or fully completed in the 2013-2015 biennium.
WSU is requesting a salary increase of 4% for classified employees beginning January 2014. WSU seeks funding of $2 million per year in the 2014 supplemental operating budget to fund the increase.
