Efficiency bill moves out of committee

The House Higher Education Committee today moved House Bill 2613 out of committee with a do pass recommendation. A priority bill for WSU, HB 2613 would improve business practices to improve efficiency, primarily through streamlined reporting requirements and reducing inflationary costs on some construction projects.

The first policy cut off of session for the House and the Senate is this Friday, Feb. 7. That means that all bills unrelated to the budget need to be approved by their policy committees in their house of origin by Friday in order to continue to move through the Legislature.
