Regents approve WSU 2024 operating budget request

The WSU Board of Regents held a special meeting this morning to review and approve the university’s supplemental operating budget request for the 2024 legislative session.

WSU’s chief financial officer and chief legislative officer presented three proposals to the board for the supplemental ask to the state, which were all approved by the Regents during the meeting.

  • Funding to establish a supply chain management major within the existing Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with a unique focus on digitization of supply chain planning, offered at the Everett and Vancouver campuses.
  • Funding request to support compliance with the climate commitment act, enacted in the 2021 legislative session.
  • Funding request related to the financial impacts of collective bargaining agreement with graduate students.
