Regent Dickinson’s re-appointment confirmed

Marty Dickinson’s reappointment to the Washington State University Board of Regents – the institutions governing board – was unanimously confirmed by the state Senate on Friday.

Two prominent legislators rose up highlighting Dickinson’s many accomplishments ahead of the Senate vote. Senator Andy Billing representing the 3rd district Spokane, noted the many ways Dickinson “is deeply involved in the community” and concluded his remarks noting how “our state is better because of her service.” Senator Mike Padden representing the 4th District Spokane Valley rose up in full support of her confirmation and ended his remarks with an enthused “Go Cougs.”

Dickinson, a WSU graduate and Spokane native, joined the WSU Board of Regents in September 2018. She joined the board with three decades of experience in marketing, branding, communications, and organizational management, having held senior positions with the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Spokane Partnership, Umpqua Bank, and STCU. Dickinson is the past chair of the Board of Regents.
