Kassandra Vogel was confirmed as student regent for Washington State University today by a unanimous vote of the state Senate.
Vogel served as the Deputy Director of Campus Sustainability for the student government on the Pullman campus. She graduated with undergraduate degrees in English and Economics in 2024 and is now pursuing a Master of Applied Economics. She began her WSU career as a running start student at WSU Vancouver.
Former Governor Jay Inslee appointed Student Regent Vogel last summer to succeed former Student Regent Isaac Marroquin in the one-year term that ends in June. The student regent serves as a representative of all WSU students on the university’s governing board.
