President Floyd outlines WSU expansion to House committee

Washington State University has plans to continue to expand to help the state meet its educational attainment needs, university President Elson Floyd told the House Higher Education Committee Wednesday.

President Floyd discussed the continued growth WSU is experiencing on the main Pullman campus, its robust urban campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities and Vancouver, the Global Campus, and through the university’s expanding presence in Everett. Dr. Floyd also emphasized the university’s mission as Washington’s land-grant institution, with a physical presence in all 39 Washington counties through WSU’s Extension program. Each individual Extension office provides programs and resources to meet the tailored needs of the county it serves.

WSU Faculty Senate Legislative Representative and Chair of the Faculty Senate Robert Rosenman and WSU Director of State Relations Chris Mulick accompanied President Floyd for the presentation to the Committee.
