A big congratulations to Washington State University Alumna Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) on being named the new chairman of the Senate Budget Committee. Senator Murray succeeds retiring Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND) and will be the top budget writer in the Senate when the 113th Congress convenes in January.
