WSU regents to meet Monday to rescind tuition increase

A special meeting of the WSU Board of Regents has been called for Monday to rescind the previously approved 2 percent tuition increase on resident undergraduate students for the coming academic year.

This comes on the heels of the unveiling of a new two-year state operating budget that replaces revenue that would have been generated by tuition increases with new state appropriation.

Both the Senate and House are expected to approve the budget compromise today.
