Regents and trustees descend on Olympia

Today regents and trustees from Washington’s public baccalaureate institutions traveled to Olympia to discuss higher education issues and policies with lawmakers.

WSU Board of Regents members Mike Worthy, Ted Baseler, and Connie Niva, along with WSU Foundation Board of Trustees member Mikal Thomsen have a full day of meetings with legislators, discussing the need to return to pre-recession levels of state funding, increased funding for financial aid programs, additional support for high demand degree programs, and increased efficiencies.

Here regents and trustees gather for recognition and a photo opportunity. A legislative reception will follow this evening to continue conversations and celebrate public four-year higher education in Washington state.
