On Wednesday the Senate Ways and Means Committee held a public hearing on Gov. Jay Inslee’s proposed 2014 supplemental budget.
Washington State University testified in support of the governor’s budget, as the university did earlier this week to the House Appropriations Committee, noting the governor’s funding of WSU’s top legislative priority for $750,000 to fund the leadership for WSU’s designation as the FAA Center of Excellence for Alternative Jet Fuels and the Environment.
WSU also noted support for the planning funding provided in the governor’s budget which would allow WSU to develop a proposal for a school of advanced manufacturing and aerospace in Everett.
